Bismillah Khan was a famous 'Shehnai Vadak' of India.He was born on 21st March in the year 1916 at Dumraon, Bihar. Bismillah Khan is one of the core reasons behind the popularity of the instrument 'Shehnai' in India. He was not only a higly talended musician but also a great example of hindu muslim unity. In his musical career, he received many awards like Bharat Ratna Award, Padma Vibhushan, Sangeet Nayak Academy Award etc. Ustaad Bismillah Khan has given his music in many movies like Goonj Uthi Shehnai, Sanaadi Apanna etc. Ustaad took his last breath on 21st Aug 2006 at the age of ninety.
