He started his political career by attending the Congress session at Allahabad.He was one of the three pillars of Extremismin India,the other two being B. G. Tilak and B.C. Pal.In 1907,he organized and led a massive agrarian movement in the Punjab,for agrarian movement in the Punjab,for which he was deported, along with Ajit Singh to Burma. After his , he went for a long lecture tour to Europe and USA.
