Aruna Lama

It was on September 9, 1945 in a small settlement of Ghoom Pahar, a baby girl was born. Surya Bahadur Lama and Sanmaya did least know that this little girl would one day become the voice of the Nepali people and would charm many a listener and get to be known around the world as the Nightingale of the Hills. Inspired by her uncle CB Lama she started to sing at the tender age of seven and never looked back from then. She won the Music Competition organized by the Gorkha Dukha Niwarak Sangh in the year 1956 at the age of 11. The great Ambar Gurung then groomed her since 1958. Raja Mahendra Pratap

Raja Mahendra Pratap is one of the few Indian princes who actively participated in the freedom struggle and the revolutionary movement outside India. From 1914 to 1945, for three decades, he lived abroad in the USA, Germany, China, Afghanistan, Japan, etc. working ardently for India's freedom. In 1915 he reached Afghanistan, where he worked as the leader of the Indian revolutionaries in Kabul. Craig was born in Northwich, Cheshire in 1985. Starting his career at a young age of 11 years, he won the British Junior Mini-Moto Championship in 1996, moving on to British Senior Mini-Moto Championship and then to the British Superstock Championship before he started participating in the British Supersport Championship. Leif Pettersen

Former Canadian Football League player Leif Pettersen passed away of 31st July, 2008 in Toronto of heart attack at the age of 57. Leif Pettersen played for eight seasons in the Canadian Football League for two teams, Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in the year 1950. In 1979, he won the Lew Hayman Trophy which was a major achievement. After retiring in 1990, he spent the rest of his life as a football analyst for Friday Night Football and CFL on CTV.
