Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn was born as Audrey Kathleen Ruston to an Englishman Joseph Victor Anthony Ruston and Ella van Heemstra in Brussels. Audrey’s father later on added the surname of his maternal grandmother Kathleen Hepburn to the family name and Audrey became Audrey Kathleen Hepburn-Ruston.

Young Audrey used to draw a lot during leisure hours. In 1945, Hepburn moved to Amsterdam and learnt ballet dancing from Sonia Gaskell. Then she went to London and learnt more of dance from the renowned dancer Marie Rambert. Hepburn decided to pursue acting afterwards.
